Take the Hogtown Creek Headwaters Nature Park Development Survey by January 15, 2016.


The City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department is preparing for a second phase of development at Hogtown Creek Headwaters Nature Park and we are seeking citizen input. 

The park property was purchased in part with grant funds from Florida Communities Trust. The granting agency requires that the City construct at least two resource-based outdoor recreational facilities including a nature trail system and picnic pavilion.  The grant also requires that the City provide at least two user-oriented recreational facilities including a playground and tennis court.  

At a recent public meeting, citizens stated that they would like to know what other recreational amenity could be provided instead of the tennis court.
