Hiring Process

As a result of the passing of Ammendment 1 - the Property Tax Reform Act - GFR will not be conducting a hiring process this year. Please be sure to check back often as we will post when a new timeline is established for filling vacant positions. |

Salary
|
Base Rate (as of 10/10/07):
Certified Firefighters $38,614.74 minimum
With cleared Paramedic certification is an additional 9%
Non-Certified Firefighters $30,055.23*
With EMT certification is $31,608.14 *After successful completion of the Firefighter Minimum Standards course and the State Certification Exam, members are promoted into the Certified Firefighter job classification and are given the related salary increases. |
