Community Development Department

The Community Development Department provides long-range strategies for the City's growth management and revitalization, and the preservation of its character, neighborhoods, and natural environment.

The Community Development Department includes the City's Planning, Housing, Redevelopment, Code Enforcement and Block Grant functions.  The Planning Division, the Department's largest division, includes comprehensive planning, neighborhood planning, current planning, historic preservation, GIS map preparation and graphic services.

The Community Development Department Listserv (e-mail list service) provides subscribers with agendas of all Planning Division public meetings, the latest information on the Comprehensive Plan update and other items of interest to the public.  Instructions on how to subscribe are available for downloadOpens in new window (6KBAdobe Acrobat Reader is required to view this page).  Current agendas for the City Plan Board, Development Review Board, Board of Adjustment and Historic Preservation Board are all available on the Planning Division Page.
