The Bicycle & Pedestrian Program is excited to release two new tools for the Gainesville community. This information is presented using ArcGIS Online and is in beta-format, so your feedback is appreciated!
Seasonal (spring, summer, fall) data is being collected on bicycle and pedestrian traffic volumes at selected locations throughout the City and is shown on the map below. In addition, one permanent count station has been installed in the 1200 block of SW 2nd Avenue which counts bicycles in the bike lane.
The Public Works Department has also inventoried existing bicycle parking in Downtown Gainesville. Clicking on the location will provide more details about the type of rack provided and capacity.
At the bottom of this page you will find resources and planning documents from the City of Gainesville, Alachua County, Gainesville Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization, and Florida Department of Transportation related to walking and bicycling.
