Each year the City’s Gainesville Cultural Affairs Board and the Gainesville Art in Public Places Trust recognize individuals and businesses that have made significant contributions to the advancement of the arts in our community. Past winners represent nearly two decades of Gainesville’s distinguished cultural leadership. Award winners are selected from nominations submitted each fall.

The festival is presented admission-free by the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department and the Friends of Nature Parks on Saturday, Nov. 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The City of Gainesville is seeking nominations for the Michelle Park Family Recreation Scholarship. The purpose is to provide a scholarship for one year to one City of Gainesville low-to-moderate income family, to participate in nature, recreation and cultural activities.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Multipurpose Center will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 3 from 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m. for facility maintenance and repairs.
