The Thomas Center Galleries is pleased to announce a new exhibition, EVE :: Woman from Archetype to Abstraction, featuring a group exhibit of paintings, drawings, sculptures and photography focused on woman as Muse. Curated by Anne E. Gilroy, the exhibit is in the Historic Thomas Center’s Mezzanine Gallery from Friday, Sept. 30 to Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017.
Featured artists include Brianna Angelakis, Anthony Ackrill, Dessarae Bassil, Christina Carfora, Adreena Cook, Angela DeCarlis, Liliana Dvorianova, George Ferreira, Amy Freeman, Barb Hau, Laurie Hitzig, Daniel Hughes, G.V. Kelley, Louise Leak, Jeffrey Luque, Gorge Mangual, John Moran, Daniel Nevins, Susan Ober, John O'Connor, Marta Perez, Melanie Peter, Lauren Reveri, Jesse Rhoads, Cindy Steiler, Daniel Stepp, John Ward, Alison Ward, Art Werger, Hiram Williams, and Nika Zakharov.
The opening reception for EVE :: Woman from Archetype to Abstraction is Friday, Sept. 30 from 7-10 p.m. during Artwalk Gainesville. The public is invited to attend an evening of art and open waltzing, along with the Gainesville Old-Time Dance Society and with Thomas Royal at the piano.

The Thomas Center Galleries are located at 302 NE Sixth Ave. in Gainesville. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday from 1-4 p.m. The galleries are closed for observed holidays.
