NOTICE: Hogtown Creek/16th Avenue stabilization

Alachua County Public Works will be stabilizing NW 16th Avenue and the banks of Hogtown Creek at the south end of Alfred Ring Park beginning on January 28. The duration of the project is dependent on weather, but the work is expected to take several weeks. During construction, the Ring Park trail at 16th Avenue will be closed. Visitors can still visit Ring Park using the entrance at NW 23rd Blvd., but visitors will NOT be able to enter the park from 16th Ave. or get to 16th Ave. from the park. The City of Gainesville apologizes for any inconvenience while this work is being completed.
