Wastewater improvements at Loblolly Woods Nature Park

3/26/2018

In the next few weeks, GRU will be replacing wastewater pipes in and near Loblolly Woods Nature Park. While the contractor is making every effort to minimize impacts to the park and to park users, there will be some trail closures.

During parts of the project, the north end of the Hogtown Creek Greenway boardwalk and trail between NW 8th Ave and NW 16th will be closed. During this time, the boardwalk will be accessible from 8th Ave., but there will be no connection to 16th Ave. Pedestrians and bicyclists wanting to go between NW 8th Ave and NW 16th Ave. during the closure will have to take the Mason Manor boardwalk and NW 25th Terrace.

We appreciate everyone’s patience while GRU completes these important upgrades. We ask all visitors to stay out of construction areas and respect all warning and directional signs.

For more information on this project, please contact Andrew Roberts, GRU wastewater engineer, at (352) 393-1639
