The City of Gainesville Office of Equal Opportunity Presents "I Am Jazz: A Family in Transition"

7/12/2016

The City of Gainesville Office of Equal Opportunity, through our Dismantling Prejudices & Biases Initiative, invites you to join us at the Hippodrome Theatre on Monday, July 25, 2016 to view and discuss a documentary entitled, “I Am Jazz”. This event is being co-sponsored by the Pride Community Center of North Central Florida.

This documentary follows the life of an extraordinary family and their 11-year-old transgender daughter, Jazz.  Jazz and her family face a life-altering decision as the ebullient teen approaches puberty.   The running time for this film is approximately 43 minutes.  A facilitated discussion will follow.

Please share with others and bring a friend.  Registration begins at 5:30 PM and the film starts at 6:00 PM.  Refreshments will be served.  An RSVP is not required, but appreciated.  You may confirm your participation to Sue Brown at oeo-events@cityofgainesville.org  or by calling (352) 334-5051.  We look forward to seeing you there.
