Pending receipt of agreements from homeowners, work is scheduled to begin the week of Feb. 17. The first phase of work will be the removal of fencing and trees. Crews from GRU and private companies will be in the area marking utility locations in the right-of-way of Northwest 30th Avenue and adjacent private properties during the same week.

Beazer East, Inc., the responsible party for the contamination at the Koppers portion of the Cabot-Koppers Superfund site, will begin a pilot soil removal and replacement action at one property in the Stephen Foster Neighborhood. It is located at 436 NW 30th Ave., adjacent to the western boundary of the former Koppers site.
