City Names New Equal Opportunity Director
The City of Gainesville has named Teneeshia Marshall to fill the vacant Equal Opportunity Director position beginning Monday, Dec. 3 at an annual salary of $113,000.
Marshall is an experienced Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Officer, with a demonstrated history of working in the government administration industry. She is skilled in private investigations, mediations, internal investigations, legal compliance, negotiations and legal research. She most recently served in the Tacoma, WA EEO Office where she advised city leadership on matters relating to EEO, developed and conducted training on prevention of sexual harassment/discrimination and other related matters, ensured non-discrimination and anti-harassment policies were current and developed new policies and procedures.
Marshall is a decorated United States Army veteran and holds a Master’s of Human Resource Management degree from the Keller Graduate School of Management (Oakbrook Terrace, IL) and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from DeVry University. The city welcomes Ms. Marshall and her family to Gainesville, and looks forward to working with her to address EEO issues and disparities within our community.
