Hurricane Debris Disposal Information
Residential tree debris and other clean vegetative debris from the hurricane may be placed curbside for collection.
Limbs and branches should be no more than 5 feet in length, and should not be stacked on top of water meters or close to mailboxes that might accidentally be damaged by collection equipment. Small vegetative debris such as leaves and pine straw must be in reusable containers or in paper bags. No vegetative debris will be collected in plastic bags. All vegetative debris should be free of plastic, metal, glass or other contaminates. Building materials from structures damaged by the storm should be kept segregated from vegetative debris.
This week, regular garbage and recycling collection will occur one day later than normal as if Monday had been a holiday. Yard debris collection will proceed in a methodical manner, but large amounts of storm debris will prohibit maintaining the regular collection schedule.
