Community Grant Program Applications Due April 23

The City of Gainesville is seeking eligible non-profit organizations to receive grants in support of activities that serve a public purpose and improve the quality of life for Gainesville residents. The purpose of the Community Grant Program is to provide small grants (up to $3,000) to non-profit organizations that support the City of Gainesville’s goals to provide services to needy individuals and families.

Eligible services include, but are not limited to, providing the following: meals, health care, utilities assistance, temporary housing for homeless persons, counseling and training for children and adults, and transportation to and from eligible services. Funding will be awarded to applicants who provide the most effective use of the Community Grant Program funds to provide support services producing the greatest benefit to needy individuals and families. All funded activities must comply with the Community Grant Program requirements.

All applications for Community Grant Program funding should be submitted online at https://agency.e-cimpact.com/login.aspx?org=11160F by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014. A non-mandatory application workshop is available for assistance with the new online application process. The workshop is Monday, April 14 from 2-3 p.m. at the United Way of North Central Florida's office, which is located at 6031 NW First Place.
