The City of Gainesville has named Teneeshia Marshall to fill the vacant Equal Opportunity Director position beginning Monday, Dec. 3 at an annual salary of $113,000.

Gainesville 101: the 2017 Citizens' Academy is a seven-week program organized by the City of Gainesville Communications Office, and is designed to teach city residents about the inner workings of local government and city management.

The Office of Equal Opportunity is hosting the viewing and discussion of the documentary entitled, “I Am Jazz," at the Hippodrome Theatre (25 SE Second Pl.) Monday, July 25. This free event is co-sponsored by the Pride Community Center of North Central Florida, and is open to the public.
