Monday, March 2 at 6 p.m. in the Hippodrome Theatre Basement
Gainesville residents are invited to meet with their mayor and city commissioners to share their views and comments during the community forum that is scheduled for Monday, March 2, starting at 6 p.m. in the Hippodrome Theatre basement, which is located at 25 SE 2nd Pl. in downtown Gainesville.
These forums give Gainesville residents the opportunity to provide feedback on strategic initiatives and operational priorities by addressing specific strategies, such as the 10-year plan to end homelessness and the innovation economy. This feedback will provide elected officials information to make strategic budgetary decisions.
The round table discussions at this forum will focus on:
- Communicating with and accessing your city through technology
- Improving the development review process by instituting new ideas and technological tools
- Exploring alternative methods for accessing non-emergency services from public safety personnel
- Identifying resources for senior caretakers to help them maintain independence
